Flower Care & Hydration Tips
To make sure your flowers and arrangements are their most beautiful & long-lasting, please carefully follow these guidelines when handling your flowers.

Important!
During transit from our growers, your flowers have been without water in a state of "suspended animation" for many hours.
Preparing Your Flowers
- Prepare clean vases or containers and clean, sharp utensils such as clippers, shears, or knives. Never use ordinary household scissors.
- Flowers should be cut and placed into water at the same relative temperature as the flowers. Warm flowers go into lukewarm water; cooler flowers go into cold water.
- All flower stems must be recut to enable water absorption. Cut at least one inch from the bottom at a 45-degree angle, preferably under running water.
- Remove all foliage that will be under the water line to delay bacteria growth.
Hydration & Storage
- Immediately place the flowers into prepared water. Do not overcrowd.
- Store flowers at room temperature, away from direct sunlight, to let them drink and recover. This process may take up to 12 hours.
- If any stems appear wilted, recut following the above directions.
- To slow rehydration & blooming for a day or two, use cool water and store flowers in a cool, dark place (not in a refrigerator).
Using Floral Foam
- If using floral foam, thoroughly saturate it in water and floral preservative.
- Place your vase or arrangement away from heat, drafts, and direct sunlight.
- Do not let your arrangement dry out!
